Allison McManus is a senior fellow with the Center for Global Policy. Allison previously served for six years as the Research Director of the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (TIMEP), where she built the research department from the Institute's launch. Allison's work brings thoughtful approaches to policy-relevant research and analysis, with a particular focus on the nexus of security and rights. Allison has written for a variety of scholarly and media outlets, including Jadaliyya (where she serves as an editor of the Maghreb page), the Intercept, the American Prospect, and Foreign Affairs, among others. She holds an M.A. in global and international studies from University of California, Santa Barbara and a B.A. in international relations from Tufts University.
