Dr. Fahmy is a political analyst & senior fellow at the Center for Global Policy. She is also a professor of political science at Long Island University at Brooklyn. She received her B.A. from New York University in politics and Middle Eastern studies, minoring in peace and global policy studies. Dr. Fahmy completed an M.A. from NYU in international relations. While pursuing her Ph.D. in political science at Rutgers University, she earned a second M.A. in comparative politics. Her latest book is called “Egypt and the Contradictions of Liberalism: Illiberal Intelligentsia and the Future of Egyptian Democracy.”
