Join CGP’s Kamran Bokhari for a webinar conversation with Daniel Markey to discuss his latest book China’s Western Horizon: Beijing & the New Geopolitics of Eurasia, in which he assesses the evolving political, economic, and security links between China and its western neighbors, including Pakistan, India, Kazakhstan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.
Daniel Markey: Senior research professor at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He also serves as the academic director of the SAIS Global Policy Program. From 2007-2015, Dr. Markey was a senior fellow for India, Pakistan, & South Asia at the Council on Foreign Relations. From 2003 – 2007, he held the South Asia portfolio on the Secretary’s Policy Planning Staff at the US Department of State.
Kamran Bokhari: Director of Analytical Development at the Center for Global Policy. Dr. Bokhari is also a national security and foreign policy specialist at the University of Ottawa’s Professional Development Institute. Bokhari has also served as the Central Asia Studies Course Coordinator at the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute
