Jane Townsley is the founder of the U.K.-based firm, Force International, which offers advisory and training services on a range of policing and security issues with a specific focus on human rights, diversity, gender, capacity building, and mainstreaming, to clients around the world. Townsley was the president of the International Association of Women Police (2009-2015), where she is currently the executive director. After a 27-year career in British law enforcement, she retired in 2013 as a Chief Inspector.
Dr. Hassan Abbas is a distinguished professor of International Relations at the Near East South Asia Strategic Studies Centre (NESA), National Defense University, Washington, D.C. Dr. Abbas has been a senior fellow at the Center for Global Policy since 2016. He also served as an officer in Pakistan’s police service (1996-2000) and held field as well as administrative positions.
