Join us for a conversation between CGP’s Kamran Bokhari and author Shuja Nawaz to discuss Nawaz’s latest book The Battle for Pakistan: The Bitter US Friendship and a Tough Neighborhood.
Shuja Nawaz: Distinguished Fellow with the South Asia Center of the Atlantic Council, served as its founding director (2009-14). Mr. Nawaz was with the IMF from 1975 to 2005, during which he headed three separate divisions. Nawaz was also a director at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna (1991-2001). He has also worked for the NYTimes and the WHO, and is the author of Crossed Swords: Pakistan, its Army, and the Wars Within (2017).
Kamran Bokhari: Director of Analytical Development at the Center for Global Policy. Dr. Bokhari is also a national security and foreign policy specialist at the University of Ottawa’s Professional Development Institute. Bokhari has also served as the Central Asia Studies Course Coordinator at U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute.
